Phobya’s Slot-in reservoir with many technical innovations and great details. The main function of a reservoir in a water cooling loop is to offer space for expansion of the coolant, deaerate the loop and also help with initial filling. This is where the innovations from the developers at Phobya comes into play: An internal channel system helps with deaeration to ensure all air bubbles being removed from the coolant. Even with very powerful pumps this reservoir is able to remove the air bubbles from the system. The filling of the reservoir can be done easily and quickly by removing the 3/8″ screw plug after pulling the reservoir out of the drive bay. We recommend using a funnel for filling. An even easier solution is connecting a Fillport which will allow filling without pulling the reservoir from the case. The small details are what makes this reservoir great: Five G1/4″ threads give many connection possibilities for maximum versatility. The optical aspect of a watercooling is also very important! Especially in large enclosures there are usually too many 5.25″ drive bays. With this handy reservoir they can now be used and will look even better to make the front of your system even more beautiful. A second thin Plexi plate on the actual reservoir front protects the black middle plate with the words “PHOBYA”. Besides the Phobya inscription a fill level indicator is integrated to allow checking of the fill level at the front of the case. Especially with coloured coolant the fill level indicator provides a beautiful effect and sets a unique accent. This effect can be improved even further when using the four 5mm LED holes at the rear for unique lighting effects inside of the reservoir. The reservoir is shipped with all parts required for mounting. As usually only two of the five connection threads are used, three black nickel plated screw plugs are included.

The shroud increases the cooling performance of your fan/ radiator combination. Mounted between fan and radiator it allows a more even distribution of the Airflow, hence using the whole cooling surface of the radiator. If a fan is mounted on a radiator directly the fan motor creates a dead-spot which leaves some of the radiator’s surface unused, reducing the possible cooling performance. Multiple shrouds may also be used on top of each other using longer mounting screws to increase cooling performance even more. The appearance of a PC grows more and more important besides the performance of the system. Phobya has also considered this factor and has made these shrouds from Plexi. If you are using LED fans this allows an interesting and unique effect which will make your system even more of an eyecatcher. Should the luminance from the fan not suffice it is also possible to insert 5mm LEDs in the side of the shroud, bringing the before optically dead space between fan and radiator to life!
