This thin-kerf blade’s 60-tooth high-alternating-top-bevel (Hi-ATB) configuration features a large number of small teeth that face both left and right–a setup that ensures clean crosscuts and splinter-free finishes, even when working with hard-to-handle materials like laminates. This setup paired with Freud’s anti-vibration technology results in cuts so smooth that they eliminate the need for a stabilizer or a scoring blade.

This blade is designed for optimal performance when cutting materials that are 1/4 to 1-5/8 inches thick, including hard- and softwood, chipboard, plywood, laminates, and melamine. The blade can also handle ripping wood, and it can tackle thinner or thicker materials. However, some loss of surface finish may occur when it is used outside its ideal range. Perma-SHIELD Coating Reduces Friction and Heat Buildup
Built to withstand tough use in less-than-ideal conditions, this blade is finished with Freud’s red Perma-SHIELD–a non-stick coating that reduces friction and nearly eliminates the heat buildup that excess friction can cause. By providing complete thermal insulation, this coating protects your tools and your work surface. And it resists binding when the blade is used for large-volume cutting applications, which reduces blade warp.

As a lubricating feature, Perma-SHIELD allows the blade to spin freely while reducing stress on the motor and carriage of your saw. 7 Pin Tubular Cam Lock – 1-1/8″ Cylinder Length The FJM Security Tubular Cam Lock (sometimes called the ace cam lock) has a 1-1/8″ cylinder length and can accommodate material thickness up to 7/8″ thick. The 1-1/4″ cam can be installed at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions with a 90 degree turn. The stop cam is reversible so that the lock key can either be turned to the right or left to open. The cylinder diameter is standard at 3/4″. The small cam lock is constructed of zinc alloy and is chrome plated. The hex nut, cam, screw and keys are all steel with chrome plating.
